GBRA GIFT 2024

Harrup Park and the Great Barrier Reef Arena are pleased to announce the inaugural Great Barrier Reef Arena Gift, set to grace Mackay on 23rd March 2024. To be held annually, the GBRA Gift will bring together Australia’s best running talent in various races across genders, ages and distances. Most importantly, in the spirit of Gift races across Australia, we will be carrying on the longstanding tradition of running on a grass track on the newly completed Great Barrier Reef Arena.

Registrations are now open to junior, senior and master runners, with substantial prize money up for grabs in all race categories. This event is open to anyone, whether you are a seasoned athlete or just faster than your mates! There are races to suit sprinters, middle-distance and long-distance runners. Our junior races are tailored to those aged 10 to 18 years. Athletes’ aged 16 years and older can apply for Gift races.

Races will commence midafternoon with Gift Finals to be run under lights.
