Need to try for a qualifier for the Regional Australia Team for Oceania Athletics Championships 2022?  

We are seeking expressions of interest from athletes who would like to try to obtain a qualifying time or distance at one of our club days before nominations close 22 March.  The Mackay Athletics Club has scheduled club days on Saturday 12 March and Saturday 19 March.  We cannot guarantee that we are able to fit all requested events in during these dates and some events may only be run once in that period.  

The Regional Australia Team will include members in Youth (Under 18), Junior (Under 20) and Senior categories.  This expression of interest is to help us plan events before the nomination close period, and to also seek available officials that are required to judge the events.

Before continuing with completing the application, you must have read and meet the selection criteria as in the R.A.T Selection Policy as on this link. https://www.athleticsnorthqld.org.au/2022-rats/   The financial member of an Athletics Australia club or State Association Mackay Athletics Club has no part in the selection of athletes on the R.A. Team and does not imply that athletes will be selected to be a part of the team if they have obtained a qualifying time or distance at one of our events. 

Importantly, one of the conditions is athletics must be a financial member of an Athletics Australia club or State Association.  The Mackay Athletics Club has two membership options that meet this criterion.  Full Membership or Associate Membership.  For details of both, click this link. 

Full members of Mackay Athletics Club are excluded from club day participation fees.  Associate members, or members from other clubs, a day visitor fee is payable on each day attending.    As per our day visitor conditions, members of other clubs have a limit of 4-day visits in each calendar year.
